The players line up side by side, shoulder to shoulder, with Tips of the feet towards the baseline. Player 2 (the defender) assumes the inside position between player 1 and the basket. Player 1 carries the ball and decides when the one-on-one play begins.
Development
1. When player 1 moves, so can player 2.
2. Player 1 is ordered not to separate and to score, but to first look for the inside position and then enter the basket perpendicular to the body of player 2 attacking with the inside leg.
3. Players receive a point for each basket scored and exchange the position of the ball in each repetition.
Coaching keys
To simplify, I tell my players that This movement is the same as closing the rebound, this makes them assume the mentality of fighting for the inside position and not just dribbling and getting into the basket.
