ZIGZAG ALL OVER THE COURT

Extracted from the book Basketball Fundamentals, by Ryan Goodson

Equipment
• A ball and a player.
• The player starts on the baseline with the ball.

Development

1. The player moves forward with two bounces to the right, changes direction and moves forward with two bounces to the left, and changes direction again. The player repeats this pattern until he reaches the opposite baseline. The player can use any of the four moves to change direction.
2. The player continues the exercise in the opposite direction, returning to the baseline.
3. The player receives a point every time he changes direction
4. The player practices the exercise for one minute.
5. The player's score is recorded.

Keys to training

Players must keep their eyes forward, fixed on the middle of the court and not in the direction specific area in which they are advancing.
